Color Mood : Whites (2)

This is the second part of the color mood : whites, started a couple days ago.

You'll see statues, nature (butterfly, flowers), and snowy landscapes.

Let me start the album with the wider angle of that statue I promised - the one from a city hall

While at it, here's another statue

Pieris Napi for the scientists is a butterfly simply known as Green-veined White in the Pleridae family. It's one that I encountered many times, as well as a few others of the family, which are rather well represented in my area. This is a male one, drinking a nectar from this tiny white flower.

Onvallaria Majallis, or Lily of the Valley (sometimes written with dashes) is offered on May 1st everywhere in France. I applied a tiny bit of soft glow and used a high magnification with the DCR-150 and Fuji-HS10 to offer such a close-up

More follows

The next 2 photos from 2007 & 2008 winters were taken from a moving truck - on the way to deliver books to library. What one doesn't do for culture, right ?

A particularly cold and snowy day, early December 2010 (yup, it's a TB) ends this series with 4 photos :

This (Eurasian) blue tit (Cyanistes Caeruleus) hard at work on a snowed tree

Another tree not too far from it with a view to some of the local volcanoes on the background
